LTP Year 3 Geography online teaching plans provide a study of the present and the near future within the context of the students’ own world. Through four units—Australian Places, Australia’s Neighbours, Climates and Sacred Places and Similar and Different Places—students will develop a greater understanding and appreciation of their world, and be introduced to how people care for places.

Each unit in Year 3 Geography focuses on one or more key inquiry questions, including:

• Unit 1—What are the different ways the places in Australia can be divided and classified?
• Unit 2—What is it like to live in one of Australia’s neighbouring countries?
• Unit 3—How do distant places differ from each other? How do people’s feelings about places influence their views about the protection of places?
• Unit 4—How and why are places similar and different?
